This OOTD was taken last week on one of the more pleasant evenings we had here in the UK. Dudders just loves getting his pose on! I honestly have never been a big fan of neon - not on myself anyway, but I love to give myself a challenge. I think if we don't push ourselves to try and wear something outside of our comfort zone, our styles would cease to evolve! I actually really like how this look turned out! Just goes to show that magic can happen when you push the boundaries of your personal style! So go for it!

Update y'all soon,

Hey guys! Notice anything different..? That's right. PastelApparel is no more! Say hello to The Style Samurai! If you've followed me right from the get-go (mikaFrancis.blogspot.com!) you'll know this is my second name change blog-wise, but as I've been blogging since the age of 13, I think it's fair to say I've gone through a few different phases since that time and quite simply, I'd outgrown my previous look. Like my style, my personality is constantly evolving and I felt like 'PastelApparel' was no longer an accurate reflection of me. So I'm hoping this new name is a keeper, an accurate reflection of my fun attitude towards fashion!

Anyway, I would love to know what you guys think!! I am yet to change the domain name, as not to confuse everybody too much, but you get the general idea! Love you all and update you soon!!

Hey guys! Seems like a while since I posted an OOTD, which is silly because I've got a backlog of outfit posts! I've just been lacking the time to edit the photos and get them up! Since returning from Ibiza life has been a bit of a whirlwind. My grandpa passed away whilst I was abroad so as you can imagine this last week has been a catch up on grieving, followed by his funeral which took place yesterday in his home town. I don't really know what to share on social media at this point as it's a personal time for myself and my family, but I will say that I only have fond memories of my Grandpa, he was the kind of person who you felt lucky to share a room with. He will be missed and cherished eternally.

On a peppier note; A new video is going up early next week so stay tuned, update you soon!

ibiza 2014

Hey guys! So I feel I've been away for yonks but it's only been a week really, still, I thought I'd let y'all know where I've been and what I've been up to! So last week I said goodbye to cloudy England and three of me besties and I said hullooooo to hymid Ibiza baby! Our first full day was non-stop party central. We had pre arranged a few events and gigs before our trip as to make the most of our stay, so  figuring we would have the most energy and stamina in the first few days we arranged a boat party and gig the first night and then hit a few bars and a club afterwards! We stayed at Ibiza Rocks so included in the price of our room was two gigs and two boat parties. The first boat party was siiiick and we met our neighbours for pre-drinklies before hand -all really sound guys!-, although I can't actually remember seeing them on the boat! (not because I was drunk obviously..but seriously, we were all very responsible on the trip and just wanted to have a good time!). I also had a few compliments from the resident DJ (quite a character) who gave me consistent dance ability with his awesome set! Anyway, so once a shore we stopped for lunch before heading back to the hotel to get ready and have pre drinks with our boat party pals in preparation for the Ibiza Rocks gig that evening, featuring a set from my DJ pal from the boat, Krept and Konan and the black stallion that is Tinie Tempah! Hehe. After and amazing gig we had enough energy in us to hit the Ibiza Rocks bar for an after party and then headed to a funky club called Es Paradis which had the most insane layout! I was like a grecian temple witch multi layers of dance floor all in one massive dome! Crazy to describe but we danced with some sweet people and called it a night in the early hours of the next morning!
The next day we had booked sunbeds at the pretentiously fabulous Ocean Beach club, a hotel pool party renowndly known for it's glamorous dress code and amazing atmosphere! It was an amazing day, not the sunniest unfortunately but the humidity meant that it was a scorcher anyway! We even met the club owner Wayne Lineker, what a silver fox he is! Come to think it, everyone in Ibiza is beautiful! After a full day of flowing drinks, DJ's, Dancers, confetti canons and jigging in and out of the pool I think it's safe to say Ocean Beach club is worth the money, even if you're on a budget!

Day three was another fabulous day! We decided to flunk out on our second boat party and beach it up instead, so after a water taxi across the bay we landed at 'Reggae reggae beach' a place with chilled vibes and reggae beats with a younger crowd. We chilled there all day soaking in the now cloudless sky and dipping in the pretty blue sea! Then after another water taxi back to San Antonio that evening, we got ready for our second gig of the week; Gorgon City, Hannah Wants and Sasha Keable who were all sound! We also got to experience part of it from one of the hotels penthouse suits, where we had pre drinks with a bunch of gentleman from East London! Although the view was shamazing, we really wanted to get down and soak up the atmosphere of the crowd, you just can't beat that sense of community and oneness that comes along with the sweat and the bruises! It's all part of the experience! After the gig we decided to go to one of the bigger clubs in Ibiza, Space. It was pretty decent, but as a bigger act was playing elsewhere, it was a little less than full and a tiny bottle of water was eight flipping euros! Still a decent night!
I wish I had more photos from the last day, but as we had a flight home early sunday morning, we just chilled by the pool until three and then we being the hardcore lil fucks we are we decided to party right up until our flight and got tickets to The Zoo Project, which is essentially a massive party/rave in an abandoned zoo. It was amazing! We were so gutted we had to leave early as we could have danced in the penguin enclosure till the break of dawn! Basically, Ibiza is crazy if you want it to be, but also has a beautiful and peaceful side too. I only wish we had longer to squeeze everything in; we only did a smidge of what Ibiza has to offer! We're already planning a holiday next year so if you're into more than just getting drunk and trying to pull, Ibiza is definitely the party place for you! There's so much more to do than get wasted, Ibiza is an adventure! Can't wait for my next one!
Hope you all enjoyed this personal post! If you have any questions about the items in this post (my pals too!) let me know and I'll do my best to tell you where you can find it!

Love you all and update you soon!
